Per the news item today about the steam cannon, did anyone watch the episode last night?  Busted or not?

I'm guessing busted.

History channel did something on it as well, and it was certainly confirmed there... they also did the ancient flame thrower and the super catapult as used by the Romans...

I guess it was impractical based on needing a head of steam on demand.

Dixie.. I saw the Son of a Gun one yesterday. I have been reenacting over 10 years and have never heard that a bullet that hit a trooper in the leg then penatrated his groin and travel 100 yards then hit a lady in the abdomen and made the lady in question pregnant . I figured it would be busted but the civil war weapons expert sure could shoot.

Yeah he was a great shot. With some extra practice with my uncle I MIGHT could make that shot.

Susan .. cant believe i had never heard it must be a eastern theatre reenactment tale LOL

I think i go with the show some young lady needed a quick story to settle the reason for a 9 month problem. LOL sounds like a story my 11 year old would come up with to cover up something she did wrong . Kind of like Ralphy in the xmas story a icecicle feel off a tree and broke my glasses. LOL
