Dear Civil War Buffs & Enthusiasts,

Late last night, I published an article on Earl J. Hess' newest book, "In the Trenches of Petersburg."  Mr. Hess' newest book on field fortifications is without a doubt his best.  It provides a technical analysis of the fortifications at Petersburg with great narratives about life in the trenches.  In late June, I had the opportunity to speak with Earl and I've included over one hour of the interview, broke out in eleven parts, on my blog.  Check it out, and let me know what you think!  I would love to read your comments.
