This year marks the second year of the 150th's.....I wonder why the History Channel has missed the opportunity to capitalize on this by making shows relative to each year of the war??
Sure, they had a few shows late last year, but their concern remains with "Pawn Stars", "Ice Road Truckers" and irrelevant drivel.....
In my opinion, the History Channel has been less about making shows to preserve and promote the integrtiy of history, and more about Ancient Aliens, Ghost Hunting, driving on ice and Las Vegas pawn dealers screwing people...

Agreed,
However, Like any other enterprise they are out to make money. It's obvious that most Americans are dumbed down significantly in terms of History. Thus, catering to the masses in the form of so called "reality programming" keeps the networks (including the History channel) competing with each other and in the black. )))(

I wonder if a reality show featuring Civil War re-enactors would bring viewers? I might tune in, but I suppose I'm not really their target demographic. I haven't watched the History Channel for ages.

Sgtredleg, I agree 100%....they're in it for the cash, not integrity to the principle of the show.

Mark, The only thing I watch on the History Channel is if they re-run a Civil War show.....
