can you add links to pages within the forum, or are they locked by the template ?
what I mean is, I most often check the "recent" tab, to keep up with what's going on at the moment. After I read a new post, I have to hit the "CWI Discussion Board" link and THEN the 'recent' link.
I've got a real nice, super fast new machine now, but when I'm at home on the farm I'm still on dial-up, a very slow dial-up, apparently.
the pictures & banners on the pages take a while to load up ...
I'd like to skip one page load every time I read new posts.
and, while I'm complaining, I'd also like to mention that with the loss of my familar skin, I've had to search around the new one for buttons (yes, OH THE HUMANITY !, but ...)
and I'm with you in confusion on the skin - if the new update did not include those skins, how was I still loading it ? but I swear I was, up until yesterday !

just remembered -
the scroll box on the old board that had
all the recent posts - that's what I liked
can you replace the chat box with that ?

no. It's an either/or thing. If I put that back on, I can't have the list of recent topics on the front page of CWi. (It's a java thing) I chose to keep the front page one to draw in stopper-by's.

I sure hate to admit it to you, Mr Joe
but I really never look at the rest of
the site. I didn't know you had the recent
scroll up there.
bad JD.no cookie.
(sure like the quick reply box, tho)
(even tho it makes my posts stretch down the page)
(btw, does that annoy anyone ? I do it for convience
and clarity, and also because I am a poet at heart)
