I liked that feature too... it's actually the only feature of the old board I did like. Let me dig deeper and see if it's possible with this one. I'll let y'all know...
Did some checking and it appears there is no option for this. Their reason (which I disagree with) is that it encourages frivolous posts. There's a major upgrade scheduled soon, so maybe it will have it but I tend to doubt it. I agree with you though....would be nice to have.
How silly. I should think that it would be up to the board moderator or administrator to decide what are frivolous posts, and handle the situation accordingly. As to deciding what is frivolous, that can be very subjective. Depending on the mood he or she is in, someone could easily consider this a frivolous post!
how bizarre ~ i agree that's really an admin judgment to make. some boards are all about keeping traffic moving, frivolous or not. how disappointing that the designers would think to overrun the admin's option to let their members post however they please.
very odd. but perhaps the upgrade will support it.
