Exactly, it's been my one minor annoyance with the board, not big enough to complain about mind you. Now if we can just take care of my major annoyance with the Grumpy Geezer who runs this outfit  .

Nah DW, I'm afraid we consider him a fixture around here. But speaking of which, and kind of related:
I just got a look at the beta for the new version of the Discussion Board. We will now have an ignore function, so members can ignore posts by other members if they so choose. Very nice. Sorry David - the admin cannot be ignored

an ignore button seems irrelevant on this board -
most posts are ignored anyway, in a rush to post their own opinions

OK, on the blog, I need one or more of you to test this:
Go to the blog and look at the top-right area. You should see something that says Page Options. Click it. That should open 4 boxes underneath it. 3 are to adjust font size. The far right one allows you to open external links in a new window. Then click on one of the posted news articles to see if it now opens in new window. This should allow everyone to have it just the way they want it. Those who have time, please help test these two functions (font size and new window function) and post results here. Thanks....

Glad to hear that. I think opening in a new window is really helpful in the blog format. Makes it easier to return to the blog, post comments, read another article, etc.
