Enclosed are a couple of reviews of the new miniseries that starts airing on CBS this Sunday evening at 9 PM EST.

It's a western, so I'll be taping it no matter what the critics say.  Actually read the book as well. :)

Regards from the Garden State,

I am a HUGE "Lonesome Dove" fan! I've read all the books and seen all the movies and can't wait for "Commanche Moon" to air! I'm wodering how they're going to do the part where Inush Skull was captured and put in a cage to hang over a canyon after they cut his eyelids off!!

For those interested, I am the moderator of "Hat Creek", a yahoo based group. You can find it at http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/hatcreek/ Unfortunately, there's not a lot of current activity on it, but I hope that will change once Commanche Moon is on.

Albert I too am a big Lonesome Dove Fan.  A few years ago I rented Deadman's Walk , Comanche Moon and Lonesome Drove on tape and listened to the books as I drove on a trip .  Lonesome Dove is still my favorite.  Listening to the books on tape one right after the other does point out some major inconsisitancies in the timeline of the two men's lives but they are still such good stories it doesn't matter.

I am looking forward to the miniseries.

Susan

The correct time-line for the characters is

Dead Man's Walk

Commanche Moon

Lonesome Dove

Streets of Laredo

7 years ago, I used to go to a chat-room, using the handle Gus McCrae....I met my future wife on-line, moved 500 miles and married her.....Ah, the magic of the romance in "Lonesome Dove" is alive and well!

What do New Jersey critics know about Cowboys. If he trashed the Sopranos I might listen.
