Maybe Grant, Sherman, Lee and Jackson. Or is that too easy and middle of the road?

I don't know, Joe. I always thought Robert E. Lee was a very distinguished-looking man, though I don't usually go for older men. Okay, okay--I just had to put that in! Anyway, mine would be Lee, Grant, Hancock and Jackson, in keeping with the CW theme! Pam

I like this "Mount Rushmore" thread, because I will be going there at the end of August, and have never been there before. I'm on a Habitat for Humanity trip--working on a Lakota Nation reservation--but our group is also doing a little sightseeing. I always thought Teddy Roosevelt was up there because he started the National Park program. Also, I leave tomorrow for a week in Gettysburg. I'm staying again at that farmhouse on Taneytown Rd. right behind Little Round Top. With only a week, I am having a very hard time deciding which things on my "list" to do--there's just so many things on that list!!! It's such a great area--also close to DC, Baltimore, Harper's Ferry, Antietam, etc, etc.

I read TR also, and like everyone else, I can't remember the author's name, I can picture it on the shelf at home,(I'm at work right now) between bios of Grant and Patton. He went after Standard Oil and it's monopoly, wonder if we'd have seen $4.00 a gallon gas if he were around today?

The farmhouse is rented by the week--through the Dobbin House--it was the John Weikert House--two houses down from the Jacob Weikert House--right behind Little Round Top--with a path that leads right up to the 20th Maine monument
