Just got back yesterday from the trip, had a great time ( and great weather) on your side of the pond. Took a lot of the advice given by you folks and very good advice it turned out to be. Civil War highlights had to be, Barlows Knoll, Culps Hill and the Wheatfield with Gettysburg LBG Richard Bellamy, having the Malvern Hill field all to myself, The Mariners Museum at Newport News, the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond and visiting Grants Tomb in NYC. It is unlikely that I will be that way again anytime soon as we are planning the Grand Canyon as our next trip but I have a wealth of memories, photos and literature to keep me going for a while. Thanks again for all the excellent suggestions.
