Susan, I've got 4 chairs like that. 2 were bought from the FIL of a gal in my unit and the other two were gifts from my Grandmother. (Her neighbor made them.) Best thing about them is they come apart for hauling and they ARE comfortable. I'll bring one to Manning so you can check it out. Jana

Thanks for the information. I am going to look for one at reenactments. I would like a period chair to take to events . I always work a booth for Daughters of Union Vets or Drum Barracks but almost always in period dress. Speaking of which I best go make sure I have everything together for tomorrow. Have to leave early to get out to the site. Make sure I have a charge battery in camera etc. Good to have you posting again JDC. Miss Susan

I don't think you can hijack a thread that's dedicated mostly to just schmoozing. I'll go with the sweet tea and squirrel gravy, but I'll pass on the fatback (ratio of meat to grease is lacking), possum jowels (too small), and jackalope (too tough). Up here, sweet potato pie is unknown, but I wish it weren't. We could use a few Paula Dean's up here. ole

ohhh..Duncan your makin me hungary. do you know how to fix all that stuff. i know how to make a lot of it. i love fatback and hogjawls and grits (i love grits)and a lot of other stuff that would take to long to mention.
