I am selling my mansfield and lamb civil war calv. saber in exclent condtion. I was going to ask 650$ for it, is this fair for both buyer and seller? of do they go for more or less? The photo is of the sword, the scabbord is of equal quality, with only the ding to quiet rattling. dated 65 with inspectors marks clear.
Don't know the value of that piece by that maker, but I do suggest that you check around to make sure of the price -- rare marks might be more valuable than your $650, especially if you can provide provenance that was made before the war ended and that it was issued to a trooper.
