Does anyone remember the games--Terrible Swift Sword, Bloody April or other SPI games from the late 70's or 80's? I played those years ago and was wondering if there still around or were adapted to computer games?

Talonsoft did some up in the mid/late 90's... I don't know if they're around anymore or not.

HPS did come out with a Shiloh game twe years ago and it includes Belmont, violation of Ky neutrality, Island # 10, Memphis, Ft. Henry and Donelson, the capture of Nashville and Shiloh. You can play individual battles or a linked campaign where losses carry over to the next battle. As indicated above, play other humans, as the AI is not particularly smart, especially in the bigger battles and campaigns, although it's not bad for the smaller scenarios where it is easier to program the script.
I'd like to play someone head to head but I don't think anyone could stand waiting for me to return a turn as I have too many other demands for my time these days.

David,
I do not own Shiloh, but have Gettysburg... or would consider picking Shiloh up if you want to play a slow pace game. I know what it is like to be busy - work kids & side business. I would in fact need a 2.5 week break in Oct or schedule the start for after 10/20 due to the Normandy tour I am leading then.
I am needing to pick it and the Ozark campaign up for our tours anyway. If you are so inclined a turn every few days would be fine with me. It is a totally different game against a human opponent esp with fog of war etc.
The Normandy, Ardennes & Market Garden games go over fairly well on our tours in Europe.Last edited on Fri Sep 14th, 2007 02:35 pm by traygreen

Tray:
I have Gettysburg too and wouldn't mind playing a human opponent again, it's been a few years. But I have to warn you it might be over a week between turns sometimes if I am travelling or other commitments interfere. If that doesn't deter you, bring it on!

What scenario do you want to play?
You can email me at trayg at the url in my profile.
I can handle irregular play. I Will be out of the country from Oct 4 - 17th so I will slow us down a bit too.
