I need to get a new uniform jacket. I really like the way the Frock coat looks. Untill I realized how expensive they are. I was wondering about makeing one of my own so I was thinking if anyone could give tips or anything.

I have thought the same. I looked into buying the wool fabric, the buttons, and all the thread. It will be cheaper to buy one i promise you.

cheaper and less hassle than trying to cut the pattern, pin & sew it yourself. Look up Stoney brrok and Steve Sullivan as he often has superb prices on his consignment page.
