The unit was originally mustered out of Rochester, NY.  In 1982, Frank Cutler of Sodus, NY founded Reynolds Battery L, the re-enactment group.

Today, the battery is made up of members from Springville to North Tonawanda and Lockport to Interlaken.  Mostly in the Buffalo and Rochester areas.
