I am glad you were able to get a refund. I hesitate to say anything on a forum such as this because I am far from an expert, however I also feel a moral obligation to try to steer folks to a knowlegable evaluation of their object. It sounds as if you were dealing with an ethical auctioneer (yes there are such). Would you mind stating who you were dealing with in Gettysburg? Good luck in your future collecting adventures.
