I've gotten an interest in the guerrilla warfare that was happening along the missouri and kansas border. Being from that area, alot of towns around me was involved in it. I went to the library and found a couple of books on it, one is "Bloody Bill Anderson" by Castel and Goodrich, another is "Quantrill's War....The life and times of William Clarke Quantrill" by Duane Schultz. I also got "Noted Guerrillas of the Warfare of the Border" by John Edwards. Has anyone read these and are they any good? I'm reading the one on Quantrill now, but not too far into it. I'd also like some suggestions on some good ones on this subject. I know, I'm pushing it for a newbie that hasn't contributed anything yet.

First of all, richards, a newbie doesn't have to contribute anything in order to ask questions. We all were newbies, and we all started by asking questions
Second, whether you're a newbie to the Civil War in general, or just new to this board, you'll always find something to agree with, something to disagree with, a new idea to consider.
THe Devil knows how to ride by Edward Leslie is one of the best on Quantrill. Also anything by ALbert Castel or Goodrich are interesting. If your intrested in Quantrill dont forget to watch A Ride with the Devil.
