Greetings all! Register now for the Third Annual Olde South Ball in Greenville, SC! What An evening of period dancing, delicious food, and good fun and fellowship! You won't want to miss this delightful evening! When Saturday, December 10, 2011, 5:30 p.m. Where Greenville Marriott, 1 Parkway East, Greenville, SC 29615. Cost Early bird tickets: $60.00 per person Regular registration: $65.00 per person Single gentleman DISCOUNT: $45.00 per person (gentleman taking advantage of the discount are expected to dance with unattached ladies) The ticket price includes a full Southern supper and four wonderful hours of dancing. Pre-registration is required. The early bird deadline is November 11. You can register and pay online via PayPal at http://www.oldesouthball.com or you can download a mail-in registration form from the website. Lodging You can stay at the Greenville Marriott where the ball is being held for a special rate of $89.00 per night, plus tax. Be sure and tell them you are part of the Olde South Ball. You can call them at 864-297-0300 to make your reservation. Attire Period uniforms, period civilian dress or modern formalwear (evening dresses for the ladies, suits or tuxes for the guys) are all acceptable attire. Gloves for ladies and gents alike would be great! Don't let your lack of a period costume stop you from coming...about a third of the folks will probably be in modern attire. Dance Practice Never tried period dancing? Don't sweat it! Come to a free dance practice earlier in the day! When: 11:00-12:30, December 10 Where: FW Symmes Branch Library, 1508 Pelham Road, Greenville SC 29615 (About 5 minutes from the Marriott where the ball is held) Even if you can't make the practice, don't sweat it. A walk-through will also be done for every dance at the ball itself and a caller will call the dances the entire time. You will not be the only beginner! Come and learn--you'll fall in love with the old-fashioned dances! Comments from last year: *This was the first of many balls we hope to attend!! We had the greatest time!
