Perhaps there is a John Bell Hood expert out there. I am reading Robert Hicks's A Separate Country and I am curious to know if Hood expressed any remorse for his disasterous tenure as commander of the Army of Tennessee, especially for the Battle of Franklin.

Somewhere in the ether, Naim, is a Hood Site run by a direct descendant (or so he says). And, with csa, I'm unaware of any expression of remorse. Also, again with CSA, independent command was a touch beyond his ability. Do a search of the archives. More than several threads discuss Hood. Search also under J.E. Johnston. Ole
