When was the last time you've been to Parker's Crossroads?

I was there in 2000 and was not impressed at all. Last year, while driving from Shiloh to Fort Donelson, I wasn't even going to bother stopping, but when I saw the park from the interstate, I had to stop. They've done a great job there and have a real park now, instead of a few scattered sites here and there.

If they could eliminate those ball diamonds, they'd really have something. They can't do anything about the East-West interstate though, that divides the park in two.

Oh, and Fort Donelson's lower river battery now has four cannon, plus they added cannon to the upper river battery. There's also an unnecessary viewing deck, which did nothing for me. It was worth going back just to see the changes. The CWPT added land where Forrest made his escape. I'm not sure if it's accessible or has signage yet.
