I get a weekly allowance for out of pocket expenses..leftover $ is put in my wallet each week and allowed to accumulate..when I get $100.00, I get a large bill from the bank and 'rathole" it.. after a while it adds up, in fact it is how I pay for my fishing trips, CW battlefield trips and new guns....I buy at least one a year along with the necessary dies and such for reloading the brass to feed it the bullets it eats....powder, primers and projectiles comes out of the "I wanted it so I bought it" account. admittedly, I am a few (LOL) years older than you, and my children are grown and gone, but it is a good system for me.
