Watch the Dale DVD, you will find out!  Steve Park's story is told on there, and he is interviewed.

Dale was, originally, an unknown driver that someone took a chance on, so after he made it, he wanted to take a chance on an unknown driver, and chose Steve Parks.  Steve did good until he had that wreak....
