"There is no substitute for walking a battlefield to understand what happened." I completely agree. Now that my family is raised and gone from home, several college buddies and I take a WBTS trip each spring/ summer. We have been to most of the more "famous" of the sites, and will return to Gettysburg/Antietam this spring for a repeat follow up of thing swe didn't see the first time around. I also want to follow Jackson's Valley Campaign route the next time i am in Virginia, and I really need to get to Wilson's creek.and ..... I really need to retire so I can really go wanderin!!!! but that will happen when I am 100... Ed
