I agree with Reb on the statement that Pickett's Charge would not have succeeded anyway. When lots and lots of guns with crossfire and enfilade opportunity have a mile of open country in which to murdelate an advancing infantry, there's really not much chance for what's left of that advancing infantry to deliver a KO punch. The more of them there are, the more of them there are to fall on the field. ole
