Sadly, it seems that none of the stuff that our kids use today is meant to last. For you parents, how many mp3 players, cellphones, digital cameras, etc., have you replaced for your kids? It's sad in a way...we are lamenting the loss of our artifacts of youth, and there is a huge market for the surviving originals and the repros...somehow, I don't think 40 years from now my daughter will have fond memories of and want to once again possess her 1st mp3 player. What does that bode for them, that there may be no sentimental artifacts of their innocence?
