My g-g-grandfather, James Lovegrove Marlin, fought as a private in Co. B, 2nd Delaware from 1861-1864. He resigned up in February of '65 in the 13th PA Cavalry. I guess he got tired of walking everywhere! My g-g-granduncle was Horace Greeley, editor of the NY Tribune.
