 It's a pity the movie won't be made. It's also a shame because a lot of the criticism of God's and Generals was simply not valid. I read some of the reviews at the time the movie was first released and a few of the remarks were that;
(1) the movie protrayed Jackson as a religious fanatic (which he was, in a sense)
(2) the movie portrayed all the generals as praying too much (many of them did, indeed, pray a lot)
(3) the characters really didn't talk like that in real life (they sure did)
(4) the part about Jackson's affection for the young girl (forgot her name) was phoney as Jackson wouldn't act that way (the story is true according to the author, who was asked about it).
The people who didn't like God's and Generals should do a little more research before writing a review. I thought the movie was a little long but very factual and I'm sorry there won't be another.
