 As much as I am consumed with CW history, I've never been able to have just one interest. Medieval history has long been a passion of mine, as well as Ancient Egyptian history. Akhenaten, Tutankhamen and the Eighteenth Dynasty, anyone?

I love the Brother Cadfael series, as well as the Sister Fidelma books.

Sharon Kay Penman is a favorite author of mine as well. I got introduced to her through her first book, about Richard III, called The Sunne in Splendour. Excellent book, well researched, and very well written. That it gives a sympathetic portrayal of Richard makes it just that much better, IMHO.
