us route 11 rather than I-81 it's covered with markers was the main road up (south) the valley
Front Royal - Lackawanna B&B is a great place
Fisher's Hill - a nice trail and new markers
Cross Keys and Port Republic - just east of Harrisonburg
Charlestown - site of John Brown's trial and execution
