 Charles Town about 15 miles from Harper's Ferry, is two words, not to be confused with the state capitol Charlestown, located in central W. Va.
If you go to the site of the execution, and are lucky enough to see the owner of the home that is on the site, he will give you a detalied history of the area..he is quite a character.
Every time we take a CW trip, we have an unplanned, unforseen event happen that becomes one of the highlights of the trip. The evening we spent with the owner of the hanging site was the highlight of that trip.
