Wow, that's fascinating, Susan! Thank you! Time Magazine, 1942, definitely a blast from the past. I notice there was no mention of a control group or defining of what "eating dirt" meant to the investigators (like how much, how often, and whether or not it was in response to the investigors daring them to do so....). Of course, those were simpler times, scientific studies didn't have to be particularly scientific....
