 Me & my Pards play Johnny Reb III. The thing we like about it is that we can re-create battlefield terrain or make up our own.

When I re-create a battlefield (I've done Shiloh, Ft. Pillow), I just do the terrain. Then, I make 3 sets of "Order of Battle" for the Yanks and 3 for the Rebs. The palyers randomly select an "order"; this is their objective. Also, it dictates where the first division enters the table and when/where the second division enters. From there, it is up to each player to lead their Division to victory. I don't recreate original battlefeild positions or troop strengths, only because I want each player to use their command tallents/skills, not Grant or Lee's!
