Ya'll are being too literal, show me an order or a diary entry where Lincoln ordered the arrest of the entire Maryland legislature. This goes to Ole's point of the talking points. I am constantly hearing that charge but there is no historical fact to back it up. Was it discussed in the Lincoln cabinet, yes. Was it ordered, no.
