Tom, The last time I was at Vicksburg, a dig was underway and our guide remarked that it was probably remains and they would be removed and reinterred at the national cemetery. What is the policy at Shiloh? If you find remains in a single grave ( highly unlikely, but possible, I suppose) are they left undisturbed or removed? If removed, to where? If union, then I imagine to the national cemtery, but what about confederate? Ed
