Lets say the Lee deshtroyed the Army of the potomac at gettysburg could Genral Lee Army have taken the massive forfication that sourrounded washington the garrions was around 30,000 soldiers and lee army was not buiilt for a seige they were built to be a fast moving hard hitting army and the fedrals would abbadoen many other operation to reinforce washington so could the fedral capiotal have fallen i would love to here eveyones comments
