I think I understand Doc's position. After years of partisan politics and watching campaigns become dirtier, less focused on issues and more on "gotcha politics", I too am fed up with the process and the participants. They profess to want my vote, but what they really really want is my money....."will you contribute  $500.00....$250.00......$100.00.....$50.00..... or another amount so we can stop...........fill in the blank..... from taking over the country!

We are no longer governed by "we the people" but by nameless faceless bureaurocrats doing the bidding of their corporate sponsors. Our politicians are a ruling elite whose #1 job is to be reelected.

At age 62, I know I cannot effect the outcome of a single election, so I have decided to no longer let it effect me. If the country goes to hell in a handcart, and I think it will, regardless of winners and losers, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

In fact, I am beginning to take that attitude about a lot of things.
