David when you go to Honey Springs make sure you are not there on a Monday when the small visitors center is closed. I of course was there in the pouring rain on Monday. David there are not many signs pointing your way to Honey Springs it is way out of town. Just keep going . You will also go by the birthplace of John Hope Franklin. Historian. The Militant South was one of the first books I read on the Civil War during my college years. It is still on my shelf. The battlefield is interesting to see. I didn't see much because of the pouring rain but I was impressed with what they are doing there. Have a great trip. I saw the Wilson Creek Chili dinner listed and though what fun wish I was in Springfield . I love Wilson Creek . It is one of my favorite battlefields. Susan
