Yes, "Gettysburg Eddie" was born in Gettysburg and is, in fact, buried in Evergreen Cemetary.  He returned to Gettysburg and was a battlefield tour guide in the off season and after he retired from baseball! 

His grave is one of the many sites we try to take people to when we visit.
