I guess I'm strange. The story of the civilians during the war always held my interest. Questions like "What was it really like to be a resident of Franklin on that fateful day?" or " How did the orphans, the sick and the mentally infirm at the Getysburg Almshouse handle the sudden whirl-wind of carnage they suddenly found themselves in the middle of. The common man (and woman)....
