I am fascinated by the narrowly missed opportunities and about people who were in the right (or wrong) place at the right time. A prime example of being in the right place at the right time is Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin at Little Round Top.

I also enjoy reading novels about the war which tell about what might have happened.
