 Terry's Texas Rangers, 8th Texas were armed with 2 pistols and 2 shotguns each, I believe they were self supplied... fearsome men!

I have read that in the entire war, there were only two instances in which infantry broke and ran in the face of calvary. IN both instances, Terry's Texas Rangers was the calvary unit
