Very nice sir! When I went to Fort Gibson the only people there we a couple of ladies in period costume, and they were sitting outside one of the cabins talking on their cell phones...! The visitors center was closed so I had to do a self tour...not nearly as enlightening as your experience.I have found a couple of promising books on the forts history: http://www.amazon.com/Gibson-Brief-History-Grant-Foreman/dp/B000R42NQ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225234101&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Fort-Gibson-Terminal-Trail-Tears/dp/0806122072/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225234153&sr=8-6 http://www.amazon.com/Tales-old-Fort-Gibson-yesterday/dp/B0007DSFKM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225234153&sr=8-8 as well as one on fort Smith: http://www.amazon.com/Fort-Smith-Little-Gibraltar-Arkansas/dp/0806112328/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225234153&sr=8-12
