It's a shame that Hamburger Hill doesn't get more attention. It's not trying to convey some great philosophical message like Platoon; it's not an uber patriotic flag waving film. It's dirty, gritty, and bloody. The original Saving Private Ryan. It just tells how it really was. No more, no less. Great soundtrack as well.
