|Today is the 33rd anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
I find Gordon Lightfoot's treatment of the tragedy to be haunting, and always have since I first heard it decades ago. This, I think, is a good video dedication to the lost crew:
I find this to be a particularly inspired lyric from the song:
"Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the words turn the minutes to hours"
As good a ballad as there is, I think. Anybody have other, thought-provoking ballads that move them?
