Ole: I don't think we are going to forget how high the price of gas can get. I won't that's for sure. I own a large SUV, a Ford Expedition. I bought it because I live in town and don't have a daily comute. I generally walk rather than drive around town. I use that big vehicle to haul my roundtable buddies on our battlefield tours. It will seat 8 people or 6 people with luggage. Our last round trip from NC to Perryville Battlefield in KY cost us each $13 in gas expenses. That's not too bad. I also use the vehicle to haul food from MANNA Foodbank in Asheville NC to our church food pantry for distribution in our community. That Expedition will haul 1500 pounds no problem. It would be costly if I had to drive it everyday. I would hate to give it up. It is a great utility vehicle and drives like a dream. I'm going to try to hang on to it as long as I can. I just hope the speculators don't drive the price of gas out the roof again.
