I completely agree with you. Remember the brouhaha over Ken Burns's The War? That's exactly what I think would happen but it would be ten times worse; all these nefarious special interest groups would get involved and turn this thing into a circus.
I'd rather have the circus than nothing at all, Duke. With the circus, there will be an upsurge, however slight, in interest and funds. I don't even care who writes the books or makes the stir; at least there will be a stir.
