It's been quite some time since I visited Cumberland Gap. My mother and I were taking a Kentucky/Tennessee Civil War trip one year. I insisted upon going to places with high elevations -- like Cumberland Gap and Wildcat Mountain, with its one lane dirt-and-gravel road to the top. It's beautiful country, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
