First of all I do not understand why you would not use a computer for your info. Also you actually did use a computer for your info. You asked us for the titles of books on the subject. There are some fine websites out there that you could check using google to find them that have good information . Google would provide access to sites that have scanned material on John Wilkes Booth.
Books that are in the public domain .

The suggestion on using Amazon is not to buy all the books on the subject but a great way to find out what is out there . You ARE doing a research paper aren't you?
Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature is or was a set of books that listed every article in every magazine published . By looking in the book in the reference section of the library you could find all the magazine articles written on a subject.
