 I think Franklin would be good  because it was a short brutal campaign. There is a great book to base it on by Wiley Sword called "Embrace and Angry Wind". 

Susan, that singing is called Sacred Harp Singing of "Fa So La". 

As for the mentioning of Fort Pillow, it was not a masscre. That was propaganda and has been way overblown.
