Tennessee's separation from the Union was made by the State Legislature (an elected body). For a group supposedly trying to return to the Constitution of the Founding Fathers, Tennessee didn't follow the rule book. State legislature's didn't ratify the Constitution, special conventions, elected for the purpose, did. But it's rather silly to argue against an equally silly idea.
