I've read most of Sears' books. I'd recommend Gettysburg, since you're reading The Gettysburg Companion. Landscape Turned Red:Antietam is also good. And Chancellorsville is one of my favorites, but I have an ancestor who fought there, so I did a lot of research on the battle.
